The Rancho Potrero Community Equestrian Center is a premier equestrian facility located in Newbury Park, California. Adjacent to Rancho Sierra Vista National Park and the Satwiwa Native American Indian Cultural Center, the center provides access to miles of picturesque trails with views of Boney Mountain and the Channel Islands.
Spanning 20 acres, the center features five arenas, multiple turnout and round pens, and picnic areas throughout the facility. It offers boarding services and horse rentals, catering to both recreational riders and those seeking comprehensive equestrian care.
In 2021, the Conejo Recreation and Park District partnered with Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship to manage the center. Ride On is a nonprofit organization that provides therapeutic riding lessons to individuals with physical and mental disabilities, promoting healing and empowerment through horsemanship.
The center offers beginner to intermediate riding lessons for children and adults in both English and Western styles. Guided trail rides are available on weekends, providing a leisurely experience for riders aged 7 and up. Rides are limited to five participants and must be reserved in advance.
